Slovenia 2 - Great Britain 3 (Result)

Great Britain pulled out a magnificent performance to take the gold
medal with a 3-2 victory after penalty shots in Miskolc.

The game got off to a slow start with neither team wanting to commit
too early to any type of play. GB started to dominate the early
passages of play including a well worked 5 on 3 which GB pulled some
good attacking opportunities.

Slovenia started remake head way towards the GB net and two penalties
against the Brits which allowed the Slovenes to make headway against
GB culminated in a goal from Rojar, the top scorer of the tournament to
open the scoring......

Great Britain 8 - Croatia 4 (RESULT)

Great Britain made it three out of three in convincing fashion with a 8-4 victory over Croatia who were making their first ever appearance against GB. Croatia played a confident fashion but in the end GB's dominance shone through.

After a rest day yesterday, when GB had a single hour long practice, they were back in action on a bright sunny day in Miskolc with GB in their usual choice of blue, red patches and white stripes with Croatia playing in their usual white shirts with a red and white check stripe.

Great Britain 4 vs Belgium 1 (Result)

(FULL Report)
A rainy morning awaited GB for their 2nd game of the tournament.. GB
again chose their kit of blue, red patches and white stripes against
Belgium wearing white shirts with red, yellow and black stripes.

GB looked controlled and relaxed in warm-up which was a factor in the
2nd game yesterday between Belgium and Slovenia with both teams rushing the play most of the time......

1st Period and build up
A brisk morning in the closest rink in the universe awaited GB on their first morning game in the World Championships.

About 30 travelling GB fans greeted the teams to the ice in Miskolc.

Warm-up was a quick endeavour quick both teams looking to set a quick pace to the game to start off the tournament.

GB playing as the home team in this game looked excellent in their blue and red and the opening line of Byrne - Palmer - Bicknell - Von haselberg-lamb opened the in full control.........
